Getting Started
In about 5 minutes you’ll be ready to trade on ThaiPoll. You need 3 things: a Solana wallet, a little SOL (network fees), and USDC (the money you trade with).
Install a Solana wallet
ThaiPoll supports standard Solana wallets — we recommend:
- Phantom — the easiest to use, available as a browser extension and a mobile app
- Solflare — a solid alternative, supports Ledger (hardware wallet)
Never share your seed phrase (12–24 words) with anyone. The ThaiPoll team will never ask for it — anyone who does is a scammer. Whoever has your seed phrase can take all your money.
Add SOL to cover network fees
Every Solana transaction has a tiny network fee (“gas”) — fractions of a cent per transaction. You need some SOL in your wallet to:
- Pay the per-transaction fee (~0.000005 SOL)
- Pay “account rent” the first time a new token account is created
We recommend keeping around ~0.02–0.05 SOL on hand — plenty for normal use. Get SOL from an exchange (Binance, OKX, etc.) and withdraw it to your wallet.
Add USDC (the money you trade with)
Every market on ThaiPoll uses USDC (a stablecoin pegged to the dollar, 1 USDC ≈ $1) — stakes, liquidity, and rewards are all in USDC.
Transfer USDC on the Solana network to your wallet (careful: it must be USDC on Solana, not another network like Ethereum/BSC, or the funds won’t arrive).
USDC uses 6 decimals, and the outcome tokens (YES/NO) also use 6 decimals — so amounts compare 1:1 in a straightforward way.
Connect your wallet to ThaiPoll
- Go to thaipoll.io
- Click “Connect Wallet” in the top-right corner
- Choose Phantom or Solflare and approve in the wallet popup
- Done — your wallet address appears in the top-right
Sign in with Google / Email is coming later (currently shows “SOON”) — for now, connect with a Solana wallet only.
Start trading
- 🟣 AMM markets — buy/sell YES/NO shares, price moves with the market
- 🔵 DirectBet markets — 1-on-1 bets
- 🟡 Bookmaker markets — lottery/sports with fixed payout odds

Common questions when starting
Q: What’s the minimum to start playing? A: You can start betting in Bookmaker markets from just 1 USDC. AMM/DirectBet markets also start with small amounts (the minimums only apply when creating a market — see Fees).
Q: Why do I need SOL if I trade with USDC? A: USDC is the money you trade with, while SOL pays Solana’s network fees (every blockchain charges network fees in its native currency).
Q: After connecting my wallet, do I deposit money to ThaiPoll first? A: No. ThaiPoll doesn’t hold your money. Funds stay in your wallet until you trade, then go directly into the on-chain contract. Read more at Security.
