Claiming Winnings
Once a market is Resolved, the winning side can “claim” its reward. Funds are paid from the on-chain contract directly into your wallet.
Claim everything at thaipoll.io/portfolio → the “To Claim” tab — claimable items show up with a button and the amount you’ll receive (after fees).
How to claim (all types)
Open the Portfolio page
Go to thaipoll.io/portfolio and open the “To Claim” tab.
Check the amount you’ll receive
Each item shows the net amount you’ll get (after fees).
Click claim + approve in your wallet
Press the claim button, then sign the transaction in your wallet (a small network fee in SOL).
Funds arrive in your wallet
USDC lands in your wallet the moment the transaction confirms — verifiable on Solana Explorer.
How much you receive, by type
🟣 AMM markets
If the side you hold wins, each share redeems for ~1 USDC minus the 1% claim fee → you receive 99%.
Hold 200 YES shares and YES wins → total value
$200, minus 1% = **$198**
Don’t want to wait for the result? AMM markets let you sell your shares any time before the market closes at the current market price (0.5% sell fee) — no claiming needed.
🔵 DirectBet markets
- Winning side (matched): get your stake back plus a pro-rata share of the losing pool, minus 1% → you receive 99%.
- Unmatched portion (for the creator): withdraw it in full (100%) after the market expires (the “Withdraw Unmatched” button).
Winning-side formula:
payout = shares held × (winning-side funds + matched pool) ÷ winning-side funds, then minus 1%
🟡 Bookmaker markets
If you bet on the winning option: you get stake × multiplier minus 1% → you receive 99%.
Bet number 23 with 10 USDC at 90× and 23 is drawn → 10 × 90 = 900, minus 1% = ~$891
The House can claim profit from the losing pool of a resolved market, minus 0.5% (see Become a House).
What if a market is Cancelled?
If a market is cancelled (e.g. the event didn’t happen / can’t be measured, or an admin doesn’t resolve it past the deadline), there are no winners — everyone can request a refund:

ThaiPoll has a safety mechanism: if a market is past its deadline and goes unresolved for too long, anyone can cancel the market to unlock refunds for everyone — your money will never be stuck in the contract forever. See Security.
FAQ
Q: How many days do I have to claim? A: Winnings don’t technically expire, but you should claim when convenient. We recommend claiming after you see the result announced.
Q: I claimed but the money didn’t arrive? A: Check that the transaction confirmed successfully on Solana Explorer and that you have enough SOL for the network fee — if it’s still stuck, try refreshing the Portfolio page.
Q: I hold the losing side — do I get anything back? A: No — in a resolved market, only the winning side can claim (except when a market is cancelled, in which case everyone gets a refund).
The reward calculations on this page assume you bet correctly — those who bet wrong lose everything they put in. Prediction markets carry risk; only stake what you can afford to lose, and check the laws in your jurisdiction. See Risks & Security.
